YOUR BODY ENERGISER- A wonder nutrient Coenzyme q

Today morning i was studying about a nutrient named coenzyme q, this is an enzyme that does miracles in our body. Immediately, i thought i must share my knowledge with public. Let me tell you more about this nutrient.
Coenzyme q is a wonder molecule, as it does miracles in your body. The body makes much of its own Coenzyme Q10 and relies on food sources for the rest. It is used by our body for various metabolic reactions. Research says that it’s rate of reaction decreases with age after 30. Another name for it is Ubiquinone.
FOUNDER OF COENZYME Q:
Dr. Frederick Crane isolated this orange-colored powder from beef heart in 1957. The next year Dr. Karl Folkers, a research scientist at Merck, identified Coenzyme Q10's molecular structure. Then a professor at the University of Texas, Dr. Folkers was the most prominent advocate for using Coenzyme Q10 to treat congestive heart failure and other diseases. Although scientists show considerable interest in Coenzyme Q10, most practicing physicians are not aware of its potential.
FUNCTIONS:
- Primary function is to produce energy in our body.
- It enhances immune system in the body
- It acts as an antioxidant like vit A, vit E, and Vit C.
- CoQ helps in absorption and usage of oxygen by our body’s cells.
- It supplies abundant energy to heart muscles, by supplying more oxygen to heart during exercises, hence it is recommended during events to athletes.
- Coenzyme q along with carnitine helps in weight loss along with proper diet and exercises.
- It is used by doctors to treat cardio vascular diseases.
SOURCES:
Fish, red meat, eggs, broccoli, whole grains, soy and naturally found in our body.
This enzymes biggest drawback is that it is not used during thyroid conditions. Best part of this enzyme so far has been that no serious side-effects have been reported till now by using a supplement.

Note: Better to take after the advise from a physician/performance nutritionist both who can analyze your body needs and recommend accordingly
